"In Their Shoes" Training Event

Step into the complexities of domestic violence by walking in the shoes of survivors.

The “In Their Shoes” interactive training provides an understanding of the complex realities faced by individuals navigating abusive relationships. Participants will move through a series of scenarios—making decisions, encountering barriers, and seeking support— to better understand the challenges individuals experiencing domestic violence may face. The exercise demonstrates how institutions, social systems and personal relationships can influence a person's path toward safety.

In addition, community partners and Fort Knox providers will host information booths with valuable resources and support. Active duty service members can also earn credit toward their annual FAP Troop Training requirement.

This training will take place at the Sadowski Center
