Owen Matthews discusses his thriller Red Traitor in a virtual event Thursday, July 22, 6:00 PM.
Red Traitor is set during the height of the Cuban Missile Crisis and seen from a bone-chilling vantage point: trapped aboard the claustrophobic confines of an isolated Soviet submarine somewhere off the Florida coastline with open orders to fire its nuclear payload.
Matthews is a journalist and author having reported on conflicts in countries as diverse as Bosnia, Lebanon,
Afghanistan, Chechnya, Iraq, and Ukraine. He’s worked in the newsrooms of The Moscow Times, Newsweek’s
Moscow Bureau and served as Newsweek’s Istanbul Bureau Chief and Moscow Bureau Chief.
