This is the 12th year in a row for this incredible family-friendly event that supports the Parks Alliance of Louisville and Louisville's public parks.

The Jack O' Lantern Spectacular was started in Oxford, Massachusetts in 1988 by a handful of families and their kids as a fundraiser for the public school system.  After they grew up, some of those high-schoolers and one of the dads eventually took the show to the Providence Zoo.  From those humble beginnings, Passion for Pumpkins, Inc., a multimedia production company was formed.  The event came to Louisville in 2013 and is held annually in Iroquois Park with more than 5,000 artistically carved pumpkins illuminated at night as an “organic art show”. 

This year's theme is Trivia Theme.  Also, this year they will be rotating pumpkins, so the types of pumpkins will vary day to day.  For all you Star Wars fans, Chewbacca is a featured pumpkin this year as well.  

 TICKET AND EVENT INFORMATION:

• Tickets are $13.50 per person, ages 3 and up.  Kids 2 and under are FREE.
• Tickets must be used Sunday thru Thursday; October 1st through October 31st (2024).  
• Hours are 6:30 p.m. - 10 p.m. 
• Trail opens at dusk.
• All tickets are non-refundable.  
• On Sunday through Thursday, the final time slot for entry is 9:30 p.m.  You must be inside the Amphitheater gates by 10 p.m. (Sunday-Thursday)
• You must have a ticket for the event, available at the ITR Office.
