National Library Week is an annual celebration of the vital role that libraries okay in our communities. 

To join in on the celebration, Barr Memorial Library has exciting event you can take part in from guessing games to cake to a stuffed animal sleepover!

The two guessing games are going on from April 23 to April 29. For children and teens ages 0-17, there's a chance to guess how many gummy worms are in the jar. The winner who guesses closest will receive a $50 Barnes and Nobel gift card. There's only one entry allowed per child in the gummy worm guessing game, so make sure your guess is a good one! Adults 18 and up can participate in a guessing game about how many items are in the library collection, with the winner also receiving a $50 Barnes and Nobel gift card. Limit on adult per entry to get a chance to win. The closest entries will be reveled on April 29 at the Library! 

There is a sweet treat added to the celebration this year with a free piece of cake for patrons and staff. While supplies last, visitors can enjoy a delicious slice of cake to show appreciation for their support and dedication to the library. The cake will be available on April 24 from 1pm to 4:30pm, so be sure to stop by and indulge in a tasty snack. 

Drop off your favorite stuffed animal during business hours on April 25, and they will spend the night exploring the library and discovering all the secrets it holds. We will be posting updates on the Barr Memorial Library Facebook page throughout the night, so you can keep up with all the fun your stuffed animal is having. You can pick up your furry friend on April 27 and learn all about their exciting adventures. This event is perfect for children who love to read and want to know what goes on after hours at the library. Don't miss out on this one-of-a-kind opportunity to bring your stuffed animal to life and let them explore the wonders of the library.
