Influenza (Flu) Immunization is Required for ALL Children/Youth

The Flu season is upon us and ALL children/youth 6 months & older enrolled in Child & Youth Services (CYS) must be immunized for the flu. The Army requires CYS to follow the Center for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) recommended immunization guidelines. Per the CDC immunization guidelines, individuals 6 months and older should be provided with an age appropriate formulation and dose of the Influenza vaccine annually. In order for your child to remain in a program, CYS must receive documentation of the flu shot vaccination by 13 December 2019. Flu documentation is not required if your child attends a Fort Knox school. If your child is home-schooled or goes to school off post, we will require documentation of immunization. If a family needs religious or medical waiver for the flu shot, a request must be made at Parent Central Services.
