Anderson Aquatic Center is home to a newly renovated indoor, heated, Olympic-sized pool. This 50 meter pool features a 1-meter diving board, a 50 foot tube water slide, and a rock wall. Large locker rooms are equipped with heated showers, and both hair and suit dryers. Anderson Aquatic Center also features a cardiovascular fitness room. This workout area includes treadmills, an elliptical, stationary and recumbent bicycles, a rowing machine, and a Jacob's ladder. There is also a multipurpose room that can be reserved for your next birthday party, end of season party, meeting, or event.

We have two separate indoor and outdoor spray parks for the little ones in your life to enjoy, open during recreational swim hours! The outdoor patio area is home to our seasonal Splash Town Outdoor Spray Park, which includes an interactive spray park (open seasonally). The Patio also has ample space for eating and sunbathing.

Open Swim and Lap Swim Hours

Active-duty Soldiers swim laps for free during open swim. Swimmers will be given a wristband and will be expected to swim laps.

Swim Lessons

How do I sign up for swim lessons?

Swim Lesson registration and signups will take place one week before classes are scheduled to begin. Registration can be done online anytime or done in person at Anderson Aquatic Center, Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Registration is available on a first come, first served basis

* Level 4 and Level 5 students will need to show proof of completion of level 3 or do a free water skills assessment prior registering. The assessment takes about 20 minutes and includes the following skills:

  • Jumping into deep water, treading for 1 minute, swimming front crawl and/or elementary backstroke for 25 yards.

  • Swimming front crawl for 15 yards, changing direction, and swimming elementary backstroke for 15 yards

Additional Information:

Payment is due at the time of registration. Adults will be able to register only for the times labeled for adults. After the youth have signed up on the registration date, any remaining spots will be open to anyone to sign up for. 

Registration is now done a month in advance. Registration is first-come, first-served and must be done in person at Anderson Aquatic Center during their regular hours of operation. Adults may also sign up at Anderson Aquatic Center. All participants MUST provide verification cards to register for classes.

Verification cards will now be given out at the end of lessons along with achievement certificates. For those who are not currently in lessons, or have a previous certificate, we will be offering free level placements on Mondays from 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm by request, if instructors are available.

Weather Policy

Patrons will be asked to exit the water if there is lightning or thunder within a 10 mile radius of the installation. There is a 30 minute wait from the last occurrence of lightning or thunder. It is advised to check the weather before planning a trip to our facilities. No weather related refunds or rain checks will be issued.

Refund/Withdrawal Policy

If there is inclement weather (thunder or lightning) within 10 miles of post, swim lessons will be NOT be cancelled. Instructors will teach techniques and other skills on the deck or party room.

Please be mindful when signing your child up for swim lessons that there are NO REFUNDS OR RAIN CHECKS. If you are wanting to withdraw your child from a lesson or lessons.  All participants must process through Anderson Aquatic Center. You are required to submit a 24 hour notice as well as a withdrawal slip.

Water Aerobics Hours

Water Aerobics classes are great for pregnant women, rehabilitation after surgery or anyone who is looking for a unique, low impact, high energy workout. Our classes feature a variety of workouts with one of our expert instructors. Best of all... your first class is FREE!

Lifeguard Certification Course

This comprehensive Lifeguard, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid and AED class will prepare you for employment as a lifeguard.

PLEASE NOTE: These are blended learning classes. After you pass the pretest, you will get a link for the online portion of the class with a deadline to complete everything prior to the first day of in water skills. In-water skills and final testing will take place at Anderson Pool, please contact the pool for the dates and times.

The Lifeguard Certification Course costs $150.00 which includes and CPR mask. Failure to complete prerequisites and online portion will result in a forfeiture of $50.00 of the course cost. It is recommended that you practice the prerequisites before start dates for classes. Please be sure to bring a notebook and pen, swimsuit and towel, and your downloaded textbook (paper textbooks are available by request) to every session.

To take the Lifeguard Certification Course, you must meet the following prerequisites:

  • Minimum age: 15
  • Swim at least 300 yards continuously (Front Crawl & Breaststroke)
  • Starting in the water, swim 20 yards using front crawl or breaststroke, surface dive 7-10 feet, retrieve a 10 pound object, return to the surface, swim 20 yards back to the starting point with the object and exit the water without using a ladder or steps... all within 1 minute 40 seconds.
  • 2-minute tread in deep water without the use of hands

By signing up, you must fill out a completed sign-up form stating:

  • You are or will be of age before the end of the class.
  • You are aware of the prerequisites you MUST pass the first morning.
  • You understand that if you do not pass the prerequisites, you will forfeit $50 of your original course fee.

If you are below the age of 18, your parent or guardian must sign and fill out your form stating they are aware of everything included above.

Safety Instructor Course

If you are at least 16 and a proficient swimmer, you can become an American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor. Learn to teach children and adults safety and confidence around water as well as be able to present various safety presentations.

Host a Pool Party

Anderson Aquatic Center is a great place to host a birthday party, an FRG event, sports celebration or just a gathering of friends.

Our Multipurpose Room holds 60 people comfortably with tables and chairs. The Multipurpose Room is available during specific business hours to rent for an hour and a half (90 minutes) at a time. Additionally, if your party would like to swim before or after the usage of the Multipurpose Room during our Recreational Swim time, group discount rates apply for parties of 15 people or more.

Anderson Aquatic Center Rules

Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult, legal guardian or person over the age of 16 at all times.

Fitness Room Rules

Shirt and shoes are required. You must be at least 17 years old to work out alone. Parent or guardian must be with anyone 12 to 17 years old. For safety reasons, no one under 12 is permitted in the fitness room.
